PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THIS WORK IS BEING POSTPONED FOR TWO WEEKS AND THAT THE SAN CARLOS BLVD. (in San Carlos Park) WILL NOT BE CLOSED STARTING Monday, August 18th.

The Seminole Gulf Railway contacted Lee County DOT staff and advised them that due to a derailment in the Arcadia area that would not be able to start the work on this railroad crossing as planned. The Railway Company indicated that they would start this work in about two weeks. Lee County DOT will issue a follow-up information release as the actual start date for this work on the railroad crossing becomes firm.
