GIVE YOUR PET THE GIFT OF LOVE THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!

Lee County Animal Services Offers Low-cost Vaccination & Microchip ID Clinic

Fort Myers, Florida, 11/6/02 – As part of its Annual Home 4 The Holidays Adoption Campaign, Lee County Animal Services will offer a Low-cost Vaccination and Microchip ID Clinic.  The clinic will be held on November 23, 2002 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the shelter, 5600 Banner Drive, off Six Mile Cypress Parkway.  Vaccinations to protect health and permanent identification to ensure a safe return home are the perfect way for pet owners to give their pets a gift of love this holiday season.

All vaccinations at the clinic will be $5.00 each.  Pet owners will be required to purchase a nationally registered Microchip ID for $10.00 in order to qualify for the low-cost vaccinations unless the pet already has a Microchip ID.  Microchip IDs, small computer chips implanted under the animal’s skin, are regularly $25.00.  Animal Services hopes this special offer will encourage pet owners to provide the extra protection a Microchip ID offers since it cannot be lost or removed like a license or other tags. While vaccination are available only at the clinic, Microchip IDs will be available for just $10.00 from November 12 through January 5, the official Home 4 The Holidays period.

Home 4 The Holidays is an eight week campaign to unite orphaned pets with loving adoptive families and to make sure these pets spend every holiday at home!  Many other special events are planned in addition to the Low-cost Vaccination and Microchip ID Clinic.  For more information about Microchip IDs, vaccinations, adoptions or additional Home 4 The Holidays events, call (239) 432-2083 or visit Animal Services web site at www.LeeLostPets.com.
