LEE TV BROADCASTS LEE GROWS VIDEO

FORT MYERS, FL. (November 13, 2002) - Lee TV, Lee County's Government access channel, will begin airing a video summary of the county's award winning Lee G.R.O.W.S. program. The program will air Fridays at 8:00pm and Saturdays at 1:30pm.

The 38-minute video condenses 5 weeks of Lee G.R.O.W.S. classes and shows viewers an overview of what participants experience when they take part in the program.

Lee G.R.O.W.S. stands for Lee County Resource and Orientation Workshop Series. The program, first begun in 1988, gives residents an inside look at the operation of Lee County Government. Participants get a behind the scenes view of the daily workings of many of its departments and divisions and meet the employees who work there. Class members also learn how the different branches, including constitutional offices, blend together to become the entity known as Lee County Government.

Lee TV is Lee County's 24-hour government access channel that provides residents with information on what is going on in Lee County Government. It runs on the ComCast cable system on channel 11 and on the Time Warner cable system on channel 16.
