Lee County Animal Services Seeks Applicants for
Animal Care Trust Fund Oversight Committee 

Fort Myers, Florida, 7/31/02 – Lee County Animal Services is seeking applicants to serve on the Oversight Committee for the newly formed Lee County Animal Care Trust Fund.  The Lee County Animal Care Trust Fund was established to accept tax deductible donations for the care of the county’s homeless animals and for programs to benefit the animals through education and spaying and neutering.  

Each county commissioner will appoint one representative from his district to serve on the oversight committee.  Committee members will serve a two-year term and make recommendations as to how the donations will be used.
