HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION DAY THIS SATURDAY
FORT
MYERS, Fla. (July 23, 2002) – Lee
County Solid Waste is holding its next Household
Hazardous Waste Collection Saturday (July 27) at the Cape Coral Public Works
Annex from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The annex is
located 1800 Everest Parkway.
Directions: From Del Prado turn east on S.E. 26th Street (the
first light south of Veterans Memorial Parkway) and follow the signs.
Residents can
bring Drain Cleaners, Pesticides, Pool Chemicals, Polishes/Strippers, Liquid
Paint/Thinners, Fluorescent Tubes, Car/Boat Batteries, Auto Oil/Antifreeze, Boat
Flares, Empty Propane Tanks and items marked “Dangerous,” “Flammable,”
“Toxic,” “Poison,” “Reactive,” and “Corrosive” to be properly
disposed of.
Also accepted
are electronic devices such as computers, monitors, keyboards, televisions,
VCRs, stereo equipment, copiers, fax machines and phones, etc., in working or
non-working condition (please no stoves, refrigerators, washers or dryers).
