Fort Myers, FL, February 29, 2002 - The intersection of Pine Island Road and Stingfellow Road is currently being studied by the Lee County Department of Transportation for possible improvements. Existing and future traffic conditions and public concern have generated the current study. Several alternatives are being considered by the County in order to improve traffic and safety conditions at this intersection.

The Lee County Department of Transportation will hold a town hall meeting to discuss possible improvements for the intersection of Pine Island Road and Stringfellow Road. The meeting will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2002 at the Pine Island Elementary School. The school is located at 5360 Ridgewood Dr., Bokeelia.

This meeting will be held to receive public input regarding the intersection of Pine Island Road and Stringfellow Road. Representatives from Lee County will be available to discuss possible improvements for the intersection, answer questions and solicit public opinion.
