International Software Company Opens Business Process Outsource in Bonita Springs
BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. (December 11, 2000) – FlexiInternational Software, Inc., a leading provider of Internet-based accounting software, has chosen Bonita Springs as the site for its latest business expansion, Flexi Financial Management Services (FlexiFMS).
One of the fastest growing companies in the United States, Flexi currently has more than 300 client sites worldwide. Earlier this year, the company’s Connecticut headquarters announced the addition of FlexiFMS, an extension of its software line that offers back office accounting process services. A client can combine their purchased or leased Flexi software with FlexiFMS to outsource a range of services from special projects to the company’s full accounting needs.
"To be competitive, businesses need instantaneous, reliable access to financial information," says Frank Grywalski, vice president of FlexiFMS. "We have state-of-the-art technology and highly skilled accounting experts to provide that access, and our clients forego the expensive staff and day-to-day management issues associated with traditional back office accounting. That means they can spend more time reviewing, analyzing and forecasting data," Grywalski concludes.
According to the Lee County Economic Development Office (EDO), Flexi’s decision to base its information technology (IT) business in Lee County is not unusual. IT is a major target industry for the EDO, and more than 300 IT companies have made the area their home already. These companies employ more than 6,000 people in the high paying, environmentally friendly IT industry. Many believe this IT cluster will continue to build upon itself, becoming one of the fastest-growing areas for information technology in the nation.
"Lee County offers a quality workforce, strong technological infrastructure and high quality of life," says Jim Desjarlais, technology specialist for the Lee County Economic Development Office. "These factors, and an already prominent cluster of IT businesses, appeal to companies that are looking for a place to set up or expand."
"Lee County is fast becoming the next explosive growth area in information technology," says Grywalski. "In the IT business, being close to others in the industry gives you many advantages, including a community with its finger on the pulse of technology. Lee County has a deep pool of workers that will continue to grow with the industry, and the incentive to continually invest in an IT-friendly infrastructure already exists here."
