Friday, November 17, 2000, Fort Myers, FL - Homes in unincorporated Lee County, Fort Myers Beach and Bonita Springs will not have garbage, recycling or horticulture collections on Thanksgiving Day. All regularly scheduled collections that fall on Thursday will occur on Friday. Friday's collections will be collected on Saturday. The normal collection schedule will resume on Monday of the following week.

As always, residents should have their garbage out by 6:00 am on the morning of the collection. Unexpected changes in a route sometimes occur due to different drivers on a route because of sickness or other unavoidable circumstances. For information on collection days, missed pickups and special pickups, residents should call their garbage collection company.
