Don't Miss the Household Hazardous Drop-Off Day!
                                   
Fort Myers, Florida (September 12, 2000) - On Saturday, September 23, 2000, the Solid Waste Division of Lee County Environmental Services is sponsoring a Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Day at Page Field, on North Airport Road in Fort Myers, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 
 
All residents are encouraged to come to Page Field to dispose of items that are hazardous to their family and the environment, and do not belong in the regular garbage.  This includes products such as: thermometers, pesticides, household cleaners, pool chemicals, paint, thinners, paint removers, solvents, automotive fluids, batteries, and fluorescent tubes. Please take the time to dispose of these harmful products properly by coming to this collection. 
 
No empty containers, please.  Empty containers can be thrown in the regular garbage.   No business waste will be accepted.  For more information call 479-8181.
