LIBRARY SERVICES EXPANDED IN BOCA GRANDE
FORT MYERS, Fla. (August 16, 2000) – The Lee County Library System will offer reference
and Internet services at the Boca Grande Community Center, 131 West First
Street, Boca Grande beginning Thursday, August 24. This is an expansion of the reference collection currently in
place at the Community Center.
The Library
System has installed two computers that will offer access to the library's
catalog and to the Internet, arranged for a partial T‑1 line installation
for faster connectivity, and installed a direct telephone line for public dial‑up
to the Lee County Library System's Telephone Reference Service.
A part‑time librarian, Mrs. Toni Vanover, has been assigned to the project. Vanover has been with the Library System since 1993. She holds a Bachelor's degree from The George Washington University and a Master's degree in Library Science from the University of Maryland.
