COUNTY TO CONTINUE SCHOOL IMPACT FEE HEARING TO NOV. 27
FORT MYERS, Fla. (October 22, 2001) – At the request of the Lee County School District, county attorneys are recommending that Tuesday’s (Oct. 23) second public hearing on a proposed school impact fee be continued to allow for more time for the county and school district to review the impact fee calculation.
The School District is requesting that the hearing be continued to Nov. 27 at 5:05 p.m., and Board of County Commissioners Chairman Doug St. Cerny said today he will support the District’s request.
The additional month will allow the School District and the county’s impact fee consultant, Duncan & Associates, to review the numbers and assumptions that go into the methodology for calculating the proposed impact fee.
The Board takes public input at its hearings, but because of the continuation, public input also will be moved to Nov. 27.
