Join us for a "Library Fiesta"!

The East County Regional Library, and the Lee County Library System's Family Literacy Program will present "Fiesta", a Library Open- House on Saturday, September 8, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This family program celebrates International Literacy Week and will be of particular interest to Spanish-speaking adults and children.

We'll celebrate with bilingual storytelling by "Twice Upon a Time", and WINK-TV news anchors, Jim McLaughlin and Lois Thome.

There will also be musical entertainment with Trio Inolvidable, Club Colombia of Cape Coral, and more.

We'll have puppet shows, a raffle, and booths showcasing community organizations that can be especially helpful to our Spanish-speaking patrons.

Spanish-speaking staff will be on hand to answer questions and provide library cards to new users.

The library will highlight its services and materials through the use of signs in Spanish and a floor plan in Spanish will direct library users through the facility.
