FORT MYERS, Fla. (August 29, 2001) – Due to the Labor Day holiday (Sep. 3) all trash collections in unincorporated Lee County, Town of Fort Myers Beach and City of Bonita Springs will be delayed one day from the normal schedule. The same holds true for recycling and yard waste collections.

For example, if your normal garbage pick-up day is Monday, it will be Tuesday; if it normally is Tuesday, then it will be Wednesday; Wednesday's pick-up will be on Thursday; Thursday on Friday; and Friday on Saturday.

This schedule is only in effect from Sep. 3 to Sep. 8. The regular schedule will resume Sep. 10.
