SAFETY FAIR SATURDAY AT NORTH FORT MYERS COMMUNITY POOL
FORT MYERS, Fla. (May 31, 2001) – Lee County Parks & Recreation and the North Fort Myers Senior Friends are hosting their "Health And Safety Fair 2001" Saturday (June 2) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at North Fort Myers Community Pool.
Admission and lunch is free!
The pool is located at 5170 Orange Grove Boulevard in North Fort Myers. This is the second year the organizations have hosted the fair.
More than 30 vendors are signed up, including American Hearing Clinic, Florida Eye Health, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, North Fort Myers Fire Department and the Red Cross. Carotid vascular testing and cholesterol screening will be available. Live demonstrations and events will include water rescues, water walking and water aerobics.

Lee County’s Parks & Recreation Department maintains and operates 3,500 acres of developed park land, 14 centers, 10 pools, five boat ramps, three Gulf beach parks, one lakefront beach, 76 beach accesses, 60 tennis courts, 73 ballfields, and 13 preserves. The department’s fiscal year 2001 operating budget is $15.1 million.
