FORT MYERS, Fla. (May 21, 2001) – Due to the Memorial Day holiday (May 28) all trash collections in unincorporated Lee County, Town of Fort Myers Beach and City of Bonita Springs will be delayed one day from the normal schedule. The same holds true for recycling and yard waste collections.

For example, if your normal garbage pick-up day is Monday, it will be Tuesday; if it normally is Tuesday, then it will be Wednesday; Wednesday's pick-up will be on Thursday; Thursday on Friday; and Friday on Saturday.

This schedule is only in effect from May 28 to June 2. The regular schedule will resume June 4.
