Lee County Parks & Recreation World's Largest Swimming Lesson

When: June 14, 11–11:45 a.m.

Where: Lehigh Community Pool, North Fort Myers Community Pool, Pine Island Community Pool and San Carlos Community Pool.

Cost: Free

Summer Solstice with Lee County Parks & Recreation

When: Wednesday, June 20

Where: www.leeparks.org or www.conservation2020.org list sites

Cost: Varies, depending on site

Information: Technically summer begins in the Northern Hemisphere on June 20, 2012, at 7:09 p.m. But at Lee County Parks & Recreation, you can visit parks and preserves to celebrate summer and the great outdoors throughout the day. Most parks are open till dusk each evening, too.
